Hyundai vehicles are equipped with a lot of safety features to ensure security on the road and make their cars reliable. They have a forward safety system that uses a set of radars, cameras, and sensors to access vehicles, pedestrians, and road hurdles.

Poorly calibrated radar
Hyundai’s safety system uses sensors and cameras to detect objects that are approaching your vehicle. These sensors and radars give the information to the control unit, giving the drivers an audio warning.
In addition, it also causes the steering wheel to vibrate to alert you so you can apply brakes and turn the steering wheel accordingly. However, it automatically applies brakes to stop your car in severe conditions.

Check the electric wiring of the instrumental cluster panel routed to the specific sensors and replace the broken wires with new ones. Use the electric wires of the same voltage to reduce the overheating and melting of the insulation coating chances.
Dirty windshield camera
This safety system uses the cameras mounted over the windshield. It stops functioning because of the dirty or faulty windshield-mounted cameras.
These cameras cannot recognize objects or vehicles because of the broken lens. In addition, the issue also comes when cameras get out of alignment.
The lens can also get dirty because of the frequent spraying of washer fluid through windshield wipers. You have to clean the camera lenses with a soft cleaner.
Avoid using a damp cloth because it leaves marks on the lens surface, leading to poor detection. It is better to use a glass cleaner to clean its lens.
Poorly aligned radar and sensors

Faulty cruise control
The forward safety system in Hyundai works with cruise control, which maintains the speed of the vehicle. My friend also experienced the problem while driving on the highway.
He set the speed of his car at 55 mph so he could also use driver-assist safety features to reduce driving fatigue. Suddenly, a forward safety message came on the screen. He checked the speedometer, which was moving at more than 65mph.
He realized that inaccurate speed changes come from faulty cruise control, which could not maintain the constant or pre-set speed range. It was not functioning because of the blown-out fuse, so he replaced it with a new one.
Obstructive sensors or cameras
The foreign material also obstructs cameras mounted on the front windshield. The issue comes when you drive in rainy and snowy weather. Snow and rainwater come on the lens of the cameras and lead to poor detection and check-forward safety warning messages.
In addition, the problem also comes when you tint the front windshield or add a sticker on it to block the direct UV exposure. Furthermore, sticky foreign substances such as bugs and insects also cause obstruction.
Sun glare and brightness can also obstruct the camera’s view and cannot detect the vehicles. Cameras cannot detect the road conditions because of low and bright light conditions.
You should avoid placing larger objects on the dashboard because it can also cause hindrance. Carefully apply tint or sticker on the windshield so it cannot obstruct the view.
Weather conditions
Radars and sensors on the front side of the cars are temperature-sensitive. They cannot function when the outside temperature is excessively high or low.
These cannot function in hot and cold weather, and you can see the error in the cluster screen of your car.
It is better to avoid driving in extreme weather conditions because of the risk of failure of different components.
Recall issue
The issue came because of the software glitches or poor installation of front radars.
The manufacturers recalled their affected vehicles and provided the free-of-cost system update and radar replacement. If your car shows a “Check Forward Safety System message”, you get it fixed for free.
You have to check the official website of NHTSA to see if your vehicle’s VIN is mentioned in the list. However, you have to check the other components if your car is not on the list of recalled vehicles because you are not facing issues because of system updates or poorly installed radars.
