Chevy Tahoe SUV is produced by General Motors based on the GMT400 platform for pickup trucks. Because of its presence in the market in different variants and trim levels for more than two decades, you can easily find its compatible parts from salvage stores or junkyards for maintenance or upgradation purposes.

What Year Chevy Tahoe Parts Are Interchangeable? You can interchange different parts of Chevy Tahoe from 1995 to 2023. You can replace its 6-way power adjustable seats in 1995-2000 models. Its 5.3-liter Vortec 5300 V8 engines are interchangeable with the 2000-2002 and 2003-2006 variants. The brake and taillights on the rear hatch are interchangeable for 2000-2006, 2007-2014, 2015-2020, and 2021-2023 variants. Headlight assembly is swappable for 1995-1999, 2000-2006, 2007-2014, 2015-2020, and 2021-2023 Chevy Tahoe.

The 10-speed automatic 10L80 transmission is interchangeable for 2021-2023 models with the same engine variants. 2015-2020 variants have 8-speed automatic 8L90 transmission and are compatible with these SUVs having the same engine type.

Furthermore, you can swap the 4-speed automatic transmission (4L60E) between 2000-2002, 2003-2006, and 2007-2014 models because of changes in the wiring harness and connector by the manufacturer.

The 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission is the same as the 4L80E 4-speed automatic in various years, having the same bolt patterns; however, it requires PCM reprogramming, tachometer and torque converter replacement, and some wiring changes because both are different transmissions.

Suspension parts

You can replace the air suspension parts 2015-2019 LTZ trim levels. 2007-2014 variants have Z56 suspension for police models and ZW7 premium smooth ride suspension package with conventional front suspension and self-leveling shock absorbers and coils in the rear.

2015-2020 and 2021-2023 SUV variants with Z71 off-road suspension package with air ride adaptive suspension parts on higher trim levels are interchangeable. 2015-2020 Chevy Tahoe LTZ has a Z95 magnetic ride suspension, and you can swap parts between these years.

Brake parts

Front and rear brake parts, including rotors, drums, pads, and calipers, are compatible with the 2000-2006 versions. 2007-onwards models have larger brakes, and you need bigger wheels if you want to use the upgraded parts from those variants.

When did the Chevy Tahoe body style change?

The 2nd generation from 2000-2006 shifted towards a monochromatic and aerodynamic profile, abandoning the 2-door variant and introducing a lift gate at the rear.
