Many people complain about the slow and sluggish acceleration of the Ford F-150. You cannot increase the speed after pressing the brake pedal because of power loss through various problems.
Ford F-150 slow acceleration is due to misaligned wheels, incorrect air flow, fuel supply issues, exhaust problems, bad sensors, transmission problems, and faulty timing belts or damaged drivetrains. Wheel issues
You cannot increase the speed of Ford F-150 when there is a wheel issue. This is because the misaligned tires do not work correctly when you increase the speed and start to shake and vibrate.

Fuel supply issues

Bad sensors
Several sensors are present in Ford F-150 trucks for mixing the correct ratio of air and fuel. The correct air and fuel mixture ratio is necessary for sufficient power and smooth engine functioning.
The bad and worn-out sensors cause disturbance in the air and fuel supply to the combustion chamber and eventually slow the acceleration.
The problem comes when mass air flow sensors become bad because of dirt and debris in the air. In addition, the throttle position sensor also malfunctions and redirects incorrect and insufficient airflow.
The oxygen sensor measures the unburned oxygen; any fault in them leads to idling and stalling issues. Prevent the failure of MAP sensors by cleaning them with electric cleaners.
It is better to replace the failed oxygen sensor to prevent engine misfiring. Reset the throttle body position sensor by removing battery terminals for their correct functioning.
Transmission problems
The problem in shifting gears reduces the Ford F-150 acceleration. You cannot gain speed when you cannot shift the gears from lower to higher for uphill movement.
The transmission issue comes when the transmission fluid level is contaminated and its levels are low. Moreover, the broken shift linkage and cables cause a problem in the engagement of gears.

Lubricate the timing belts to avoid overheating and slipping from the pulleys. You can prevent drivetrain failure by avoiding frequent drives on poor roads and annual inspections of its components.
Faulty ignition system and engine components
The ignition components include coils and spark plugs that help in the ignition. Faulty spark plugs do not provide the spark for ignition and slow down the Ford F-150 acceleration.
The spark plugs become bad because of weak and dead batteries, carbon deposits, prolonged idling, and frequent drives at slow speeds.
